Station 3
The first phase of Station 3, located at 4458 Old Priest River Road, was completed in 2010, and holds 4-6 fire trucks.
With the approval of the bond funding, our plan is to complete Station 3 by adding a training room, male and female staff quarters, and restrooms with showers.
With the addition of the new training room, we will make Station 3 our primary training facility. We have outgrown our current training room, and are in need of the extra space to maintain our high training standards as our number of volunteers continues to grow.
Station 3 also offers much more outdoor space, which will allow us to construct various training props, giving us the opportunity to give our volunteers a more realistic training experience.
We also plan to use Station 3 as a community relief center during big storms, extended power outages, or other disaster situations. Community members will be able to come to Station 3 to take showers, fill water jugs, and charge phones and other electronic devices. Station 1 (located near Priest River Airport) currently serves as such a relief center, but the completion of Station 3 will give the community these resources on both sides of the river.
